NTL Home is offering domain name search and registration services to its internet customers through a deal with domain services firm NetBenefit.

Under the agreement, NTL Home's customers will be able to purchase and manage domain names through ntlworld.com, the cable company's consumer portal.

Broadband customers are twice as likely to set up their own web space than dial-up customers, with more than one in five broadband customers at some stage setting up a website, according to NTL.

Re: NTL offers customer domain name services

See more here
Although its £25 a year.
For this you get
  • Domain name
  • Unlimited email addresses
  • Email forwarding
  • Control panel
  • Telephone & email support

And what a control panel it is, just stats on how many times you have been visited.
Telephone support? But we pay for that already.
Email support? Nah, its thorugh NTL isnt it?

I'm finding that an eukhost server is faster than the nbdemo one.

I think that I will wait for NTL to do hosting..... Domain names are nowt special & can be pointed to your NTl webspace for free (AFAIKR).

EDIT: I see from further reading that it features IP forwarding.
Does this mean that I can forward that domain name to my own PC's IP?
(I bet this is free somewhere too - lol)

Re: NTL offers customer domain name services

Firevision - £10 for 2 years (.co.uk), which includes 10 email forward addresses, and web forwarding.

Better value that NTL

Re: NTL offers customer domain name services

I think NTL should concentrate on trying to be a decent ISP with decent Mail & News service (cause they haven't managed it in the 4 years I have had to put up with them!) before they try anything else.
