destroy the bar!
right my mum is thick on pc's so i made a homepage with links to ebay and stuff and i get the stupid bar at the top and i cant use the menu until ive allowed blocked content. how do i get rid of this

no i just want it to go away when i access files on my pc. it only does it with those files and disables javascript and activex etc

TRy uploading it to web space, you'll normally get this if you try run webpages simply on your own pc rather than a web server.

dunit go to tools internet options, advanced and tick the 2nd option
