Re: Telewest Shares help please

That is about the Telewest Communications / Telewest Global situation. Not the ntl / Telewest merger.

I am not sure what happens in this situation, but you should receive some information from the company regarding what money/ shares you are entitled to and what you need to do

btw

Re: Telewest Shares help please

I have a feeling that your shares will now be completely worthless and will have lapsed. You would have been written to with information on what to do.

You'd have lost 98.5% of your Telewest shares and been given 1.5% of these in Telewest Global. Each 804 shares you had would have been worth 1 share in the newer company. Of the 1.5% remaining I think less than 0.5% would be remaining in shares and perhaps 1% in cash from the merger.

I think again however that you may have lost your holdings as you didn't respond when Telewest Communications became Telewest Global 2 years ago. You'll have no share certificate for the new company.

Thanks and your spot on, rang the company who delt with the shares at the time and your right 800 shares for one NEW share, as I had less than the cut off 800 all I got was £3.25 in Aug` 04. I read the info that came with that BIG cheque again and it was the final payout! I thought at the time it was some divi` payment never really read it just banked the cheque. With all this talk of payouts and mergers I though I was in for some money. All I`ve done is lose about a grand on Telewest what a waste of money that was. I could have had a good 2 weeks in Thialand with that money
