Has anyone else in the area been upgraded successfully?

the same here (wythenshawe, ntl250) Baz.
in my case it went totally off at 7.30pm and didnt come back up until a few minutes ago, at the basic reduced speeds, i assume we have been moved over to a temp service while they do our bits, then later we will get a reset or we may need to power down again and we may find ourselves on the faster rate once again, time will tell........
another strange thing is that about 11.45 pm the network gave my NC a 213.105.8.1 gateway, i dont think thats on the ntl network, and cant check right now, anyone got any idea were that ip comes from ?, back to a normal 80/81/82* now and hence can post.

Popper:
From http://homepage.ntlworld.com/robin.d...ps/ipaddr.html
On the NTL cable modem service, the possible in-service IP address ranges are: - 62.252.xxx.xxx to 62.255.xxx.xxx.
- 80.0.xxx.xxx to 80.7.xxx.xxx.
- 81.96.xxx.xxx to 81.111.xxx.xxx.
- 82.0.xxx.xxx to 82.31.xxx.xxx.
- 213.104.xxx.xxx to 213.107.xxx.xxx
So perfectly okay

Dunno if i'm wrong here, but I would say the chances of a change on the weekend are slim... would've thought they'd just do repair work on weekends, not roll-outs.

I was thinking the same thing - unless they are trying to play catch up in which case anything is possible I guess.
If theres one thing ive learnt, NTL are seriously unpredictable

yeah, you're not wrong there... did you ever see the "22nd" statement, as I've not seen any comment about that, in which case I'm still thinking "last day of the month"

Yawn!... still nothing (unsurprisingly!)... wonder if they are having problems, or do they just hate Harrogate?... or maybe they read this forum and me and Chris are now the only 2 in the UK with 2meg connections
