At least my 4M line has a stable 2M, that's a big improvement

2nd 512K took 2172 ms = 235.7 KB/sec, approx 1942 Kbps, 1.9 Mbps
3rd 512K took 2156 ms = 237.5 KB/sec, approx 1957 Kbps, 1.91 Mbps
4th 512K took 2172 ms = 235.7 KB/sec, approx 1942 Kbps, 1.9 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 1949 Kbps, 1.9 Mbps

Thats a 2Mb line. Its too consistant to be a peak time 4Mb.

4th 512K took 1125 ms = 455.1 KB/sec, approx 3750 Kbps, 3.66 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 3859 Kbps, 3.77 Mbps

but never 4mb

I mean I am on 4M but I was not upgraded so far, however, stable 2M makes me happy because sometimes everything moves like a snail.

Still on 2mb here in M29 Manchester on NTL 250 CM......

But hey i'm happy as i phoned NTL today and got the bill reduced so i'm well happy.

If I had one of the more up to date modems it wouldn't fuss me so much but this is a 120.

As Baguley was meant to be done tonight and many people in Manchester are saying they have the upgrade, it looks like I will be left alone in peace.

I don't really care if they upgrade it or not...I am sure it will still work anyway. But if they don't I won't be ringing up chasing it (especially not now the call isn't free).
