Graphics card

I have had my PC for just over a year i know very little about the specs of pc etc. there was no graphics card supplied with my pc so recently bought 1 was only cheap but makes it run slightly quicker on games.

My query is my pc has only got PCI ports as far as i'm aware and not PCI-e or AGP can anyone point me in the right direction for a decent PCI graphics card???

Re: Graphics card

I think the best you will get is a Nvidia 5200 as a pci

Edit 5500 here

Theres this one with 128 meg out of stock at the mo but you could wait

Im afraid this will be the best you can do unless you change your motherboard

Re: Graphics card

don't really know anyone about this kind of thing. played the demo of BF2 and had to turn all the graphics down for it to run average so was just thinking if could upgrade card would be worth buying but by the sounds of things would take alot for someone that doesn't know alot about them. i have however just found a nivida 5200 256mb card would that make much difference??

At a pinch, if you REALLY have to, you could get your machine upgraded at *holds back vomit* PC World.

Re: Graphics card

just trying to assertain the size as what size of mobo you would need. you have 8 meg of your ram taken by onboard there may be a way to shut this off which might help the problem

download everest this will tell you everything about your machine.See if you can find the motherboard model number
