Angry wireless modem help

Hey guys,
Just bought a sitecom adsl kit.says it is the clomplete kit to create and share wireless connections.problem is i can not get it to connect to the internet through isp,to be honest dont even know where to start??.
I have so managed to get it to pick up connection between the usb and the modem but dont know how to configure it to dial out.
I am guessing i dont need to have at least 1 computer connected direct via cable(this would defeat the point of wireless)and it does state that it acts as a modem and router.Only my original speed touch modem is showing as possible dial outs for connections, could there b conflict??.
Any help or advice greatly aappreciated.

Modem is : sitecom/wireless network adsl kit - 54g
product number : wl -530 uk (if this helps)

thanks in advance

Re: wireless modem help

Ditch the usb cables, connect the adsl router to the computer via ethernet then go to 192.168.1.1 or whatever the address is shown in the instructions and simply add your username and password. It should do the rest.

If the modem/router is going to be next to the pc it's best on ethernet anyway leaving wireless only for those pc's away from it.

You won't see it as a connectionj ion the old sense as it will just be a device connected to your ethernet port giving it an ip address, your pc will like that better as usb uses approx 5% of your system resources to do the same task.

Re: wireless modem help

cheers for that, tried it didnt work??
I uninstalled all software then re-installed.i can get to sitecom page for settings(like connected to the web)but there is not much there to suggest i can set a connection elsewhere.at total loss.all my dial ups lead to my speed touch for all conections, where do look to set my wireless modem to do this??I know it is difficult to explain over the net,but any pointers will get me a little further.status so far: my usb thing is picking up modem/router but that is about it.i have done all that is stated in the booklet, login in using the pass they give click next go through it and hey presto you can now connect to the internet via this modem.
But thats not the case,am i missing something big.

cheers in advance
