Nero InCD / UDF
Evening,
Small problem that I hope somebody can advise me on! (Hello Zingle!!!)
I have reinstalled Nero 7 on my PC (post HDD install) and everytime I put a DVD-RW in my DVD Recorder it displays the DVD with a readme.txt which says I don't have a UDF reader installed.
The DVD RW's work fine in the DVD ROM drive....I have InCD installed...
Any ideas?
Cheers!
Lee

Re: Nero InCD / UDF
Yep - all the lastest patches. I have NIS 2006 - that wouldn't be causing it - would it?
As I say - the DVD-RW's work in the DVD-ROM drive - but not the DVD-Recorder - and thats the drive they where created in!!!

AFAIK default for Nero7 is not to install InCD - you could try re-running the installation, choose the custom option & make sure the box for InCD is checked.

yay - it got me, too, when I first installed it, I spent ages tinkering before I hit on the custom install.
funny how it installed loads of stuff I didn't want, but left out one of the key components, without even telling me

Re: Nero InCD / UDF
Still dosn't answer the question as to why one drive can read it and they other complains! Do I need to config the UDF part to say "read my DVD-RW as UDF drive" or something??? Not seen any options for that though.

ah right, sorry I misunderstood - in fact I am really confused, because, now I look, the DVD recorder says it is a DVD Ram drive, not a DVD-RW - and as far as i know the disks are not interchangeable???

Re: Nero InCD / UDF
Never used a DVD RAM disk in it - the model is a LG GSA-4136B if that helps!

Re: Nero InCD / UDF
Don't think LG will help!
Been doing some testing - I've removed InCD 5 and installed InCD 4 - didn't work. Un-installed InCD4 and checked it - I can read the DVD RW. Installed InCD5 so I can write use packet writing - I now can't see the contents of the DVD RW again....arrrrrrggggghhhhh.
Whats going on!!!!
