So what shall we do instead of watching the World Cup?
I'm still thinking up a strategy for this summer...Anyone else got some firm plans?
Or am I going to be on my own?

I shall be making birthday cards - a new hobby I've got into. Probably with one eye on the football though!

Re: So what shall we do instead of watching the World Cup?
I'll just have a life.
Never really been interested in football, so I don't care about the world cup. Rugby's my sport, or most motorsports (except american lets-go-in-a-circle-for-5hrs IRL dross)

Re: So what shall we do instead of watching the World Cup?
oh... my.... god.... you know, i really didn't think people like you lot existed!!! IT'S THE WORLD CUP!!! If anything is going to unite people and get them going, surely this is it! I bet if your country gets into the semi finals and beyond, you'll all be watching....
well, i'm stunned... once every 4 years and some people are STILL trying to avoid it!!!
i'm disappointed. disappointed in you all!!! lol
well - i hope you all have fun making birthday cards and flying kites or whatever it is you will be doing. I, on the other hand, will be wearing my Nederland tops with pride whilst stealthily avoiding contact with any England fans!!!

Yes well I don't expect everyone to have the same interests as me.The difference is that my particular interests tend not to be aired across the nation at any point let alone every 4 years, every football season(which is virtually 11 out of 12 months of the year these days) and the results repeated ad nauseum on the news every hour, 24/7.Excuse me if I actually dare to be different.
I think I'm very restrained in merely finding some else to do with my time that won't involve me in what sometimes seems like the extremes of tribal warfare(especially when the non football fan kn*bheads get going).I never resort to the underlying violence that enforced football watching actually engenders in me.I merely go and find something else to do.Every 4 years.
