Hopefully you should see normal or at least some operation by the end of today or tomorrow, who knows. I trust you have another form of access though?
No, call me shortsighted if you like, but I don't have a contingency Internet connection for when the main one goes down. Until I switched to NTL, I never needed one. My previous post was from my office.

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!

here's a reminder of what NTL says the problem is:-

http://www.cableforum.co.uk/article/...b-speed-issues

as I'm not using USB it doesnt really explain why even at 5am, I never get above 7meg.

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!

Went ok last night again for a few hours. Back down to 3mb again at the min. I have never had a problem until early last week, my connection ahs always been maxed. As mentioned some popular sites google etc are random when/if i can get on them. Is this a problem that will be resolved? or are we just going to have to put up with it? If the latter i think i will be changing to a new ISP.

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!

Idley wonders if these problems are associated with the recent upsurge in spam originating from NTL customers.

Just go another one offering a hot stock tip which, according to Spamcop, comes from 82.27.58.***

My connection kept dying each time I load a page. Frustration!

I am in nottingham, anyone else suffer the same problem?

It seemed like the page takes longer than ever to load.

Re: [Merged]-Major connection issues!

Sites are opening very slow. It was next to impossible to surf a few hours ago. It is a little bit better now, however, download speed from newsserver is 1/10 of my line - 200 kbps. My modem didn't work from 8 pm till 12 am yesterday at all. Something wrong is going out there but NTL keeps quiet about it.
