MSN File Transfer

Hi guys. I recently bought and installed a Netgear WRG614 v.6, and i am having a little bit of trouble receiving files from my friends on MSN. Some people can send me files with no problems at all, while others are having a slow transfer speed, and others just wont send. Everything else seems to be working fine. Any help would really be appreciated.

Re: MSN File Transfer

MSN Messenger is known for having slow transfer at times, depends on their location, and bandwith capabilities where they are,

Re: MSN File Transfer

I often find it's faster to upload to my NTL webspace and give them a link to download the file from.

Yes, I agree, but since the recent build if WLM I have noticed speeds of transfers have gone to a snail pace, just took me 10minutes to move a 5mb file from me to someone in Manchester also on 10mb.

Re: MSN File Transfer

if some are not getting the files, make sure they seem to be online, not appear offline or anything.

Re: MSN File Transfer

Thanks guys. Something i just found out. The people who's files wont tranfer are using Trillian. Could that be the cause of the problem? These problems have only start though, since i installed the router.
