Says "Streets of Rage 2" at the bottom. Is that the answer or a red herring?

Yeah, Team 17 in their prime there.
I was thinking, we can just have this thread as a free for all for now. If it gets too busy and too many people posting screens all at once we can set some rules. Maybe you have would have to guess correctly to post.
BTW posters, change the filenames before you post - otherwise it all gets a bit too easy.
 For Those Who give a...
The original screenshot was from a Japanese PS1 game called 'Suzuki Bakuhatsu'.
"This very odd game released by Enix is unique. It's a puzzle game, in which (you) control Suzuki-san, a girl who for some reason has this knack of running into bombs which are disguised as normal everyday items. Your job? Disarm them, using clues in the game."
That would explain the Orange with strange metal on top. It's a bomb disguised as a piece of fruit, damn terrorists.

Spectrum game. Came free with my Sinclair +2 with 5 other games. Made by Sinclair 1986 if I'm not mistaken. I'll post another screenshot in a bit.

Sorry, it's Gem Software 1984.

Re: whats this screenshot from?
Rick Dangerous... it's the 1st level, quite near the beginning. Produced by Microprose... looking at the screenshot, I'd say it's from the ST version.
I actually did my work experience at Microprose when I was a school kid at about the time this came out.

Heh, just thought any other Rick Dangerous fans might like this... there's an open source Windows & Linux port available here... http://www.bigorno.net/xrick/
and I then found this - play Rick Dangerous in your browser... http://rdfhost.free.fr/ (I can't check this out just yet as I'm at work, but I'm hoping it's a good version )

Well, carrying on with this, here's the next screenie - it's another easy one... well, it is if you're as old as me

I can't quite see the idea catching on - us Brits/Americans don't eat enough fruit. Be going off in the warehouse. An exploding burger - well that would be different. Would be a threat to global peace.
Some of the texture on that Rick Dangerous (never heard of it) screenshot look very much like those from Lost Vikings
Nice to see the colours though - sort of comforting.

Oh and I was in the the Ikea self-serve warehouse the other night. Pyschologically it's like the entrance to hell, but the walls and fixtures are very much like Half-Life. Freaky. I found myself keeping an eye out for crabs

Re: whats this screenshot from?
Q~Bert, although I nearly said Qix for obvious reasons. Interestingly enough, the screen I put up of 'Disco Dan' is base on the same principle. The screen I posted was the first stage where you run up the corridor dodging holes and jumping fences. The main game is this.
Almost exactly the same game really, LOL. Not as bad as Great Giana Sisters on the Amiga though.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade by LucasArts. And I DIDN'T look at the filename OK?
BTW the Lost Vikings wasn't my intended next screen. That was just for greencreeper. Anyway, here's my actual next one

Re: whats this screenshot from?
Well, apparantly the Speccy was the best version other than the coin-op. I had the Amiga version which was utter tosh. The car was tiny and there was no sensation of speed. Very disappointing. I'd love a go on the arcade version again.
AMIGA VERSION
NEway you post now?
