Something terribly wrong with routes.

Ok, connection has been dodgy for the past week, nothing at all has changed so far today, but for the most part it's been ok. Now all of a sudden though I have packet loss yet again and high pings to certain servers where I usually have a very low ping. This is consistent now, and is no longer intermittent.

Here's a tracert of google.co.uk:

Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]

Notice how there can't be much wrong on my side as it starts the trace off perfectly fine, then it seems to choose wrong routes/routes that take longer... look how as the hops go up, the ping goes up. Weird.

Re: Something terribly wrong with routes.

Looks like ntl are having problems backbone wide :o

Hopefully the whole problem was being caused by a single router in the cloud going nuts and annoying others work has been done on a router in Manchester which may assist.

Re: Something terribly wrong with routes.

Well that manchester event has improved things here no end. Previously a lot of my traffic was going through manchester especially level3 traffic and since it started going through london my speeds have gone up considerably.

So what ever changes ntl have made in the last 2 days please take note because the ****e leics routing improved with it.
