If you re-read your previous post, you'd see that you used the word 'discuss' - you aren't willing to discuss ntls performance, you just want to slate them.

haha @ turning off kazza nah dont run that dude that gives u adaware
Use edonkey emule on linux dont use windows :P windows and NTL what a great combo goes hand in hand hahahaha
Anyways Nope not listening to anyone about NTL and slating them to the end hahaha
shall I tell you why cos I am free of their service and dont need to burden myself with their troublesome slow connections.
The whole point of this point is to express NTL suck and to uphold this Status that they really earned

SO if you're not willing to listen to anyone else, why should they listen to you? More to the point, if you're free of their services, there's absolutely no need for this thread anymore, is there?

I don't think there is. He/She/It has made the distinction of being the first person I've ever added to my ignore list since its clear they are either trolling or on a windup.

If they don't know about 'such forums' they aren't going to see your posts, are they?
You are more than welcome to continue expressing your opinion, but please don't assume everyone on here will be taking much notice. The tactic of trying to extrapolate your own experience to include the whole of NTL's customer base does not work. Firstly, this forums members represent a very small proportion of NTL's customers, overall, and secondly the number of members who have perfectly adequate service for their money is too great.
Rather than ranting & alienating people, you may get a more considered response if you outline the problems you have & ask for any help or advice others might be able to offer.
- but, for example, complaining you can't connect 5 PCs when the terms of your contract specify a maximum of 3, won't help. It will only make people wonder what else you might be doing to contribute to your own problems.

NTL doesn't use exchanges for the majority of their broadband (assuming cable is the majority, which it is).
In my opinion, don't start slagging off a service if you don't fully understand how it works and appreciate the difficulties behind it. Once you know the reasons why there could be a problem, try to work with whoever to resolve it. Only if they can't be bothered or don't give a satisfactory response should you then make your issues known more.
So tell us... what hard evidence can you provide that NTL haven't given you the service you've paid for, given that there are industry standard definitions of an "always-on" Internet service, which I believe may even be as low as 95% availability. Note that it says "availability" not "100% functional and working at the speed you've paid for". Also note that when you sign up, you're paying for an "up to x Mbit/s service" due to the nature of how the physical media used in the service works.

Add me to your ignore list do what ever my point of this post is to do the number 1 thing that comes with a business
1. Giving customers a good service so the word of mouth does not destroy or make bad business.
NTL need a lot of training there.

Especially when you've got the connection between 5 pcs... and the maximum allowed on the t&c's is 3.

Hi everyone, having been reading CF for a good while, I believe now is the time to jump and make my first post.
I can't quite see how you could have stuck with a connection for three years if the extent of the problems you have are as bad as you mention. If you think that NTL suck, thats your opinion, thats not factual statement. Now I've had problems in the past, but I phone NTL and get things sorted. Admittedly the broadband has never been the cause of any problems, so I've never had to speak to tech support. But even if I did and the Indians didn't sort out the problem, your entitled to ask to speak to level 2 support in Swansea.
Now then, hopefully as a first time poster the mod's will be ok with this, but if you want to send me a PM with your name, post code and house number with a more detailed description of the connectivity problems your having, I'll investigate the problems for you.

Trust me.
You are 1 customer on a forum with about 15000 members possibly who are some of the millions of NTL customers. You are really going to make an impact "talk about visions of grandeur". Next you will be thinking you can take on the world
BTW i have my info now so pip pip off to work now.

 lurker
I can see from your IP data that you're NTL staff - but I can also see that Naughty_customer is no longer an NTL customer, so you may be wasting your time.
However, there's a PM on the way to you.

Actually, I'd argue that the number one priority of most businesses is to make a profit...
Trust me, your opinion of ntl won't make a blind bit of difference to the number of users they have - frankly, it sounds like they're better off without you anyway.
