And me in Rochdale is all happy and fine, not a single issue to report not one.

So am I the only happy ntl customer in the known universe?

No

However, I'm greatful to get anything, as my modem keeps dropping off the network. Having spent 45 minutes on phone to India on Monday (hmm, that would have been a nice priced call at 0871 rates) I 'allegedly' have an engineer booked for modem swapout. I'll not hold my breath.

Wonder if this DNS issue will have been fixed by then? Would be a good excuse not to fix my modem's problem

Re: Connection to BBC/Google etc?

What a load of rubbish this service is. NTL was fine until recently - now it's useless. We'll wait for the excuses about the imaginary hackers.

Right, got that off my chest. I'll forgive this occasion, but the next time they can stuff their 12 month contract, and hello BT.

Re: Connection to BBC/Google etc?

Well, I've just come back from a day out to find I have a new IP address. Looks like something is cocking up.

Oh and I can't get AVG to update. Not another DDOS attack?

Re: Connection to BBC/Google etc?

Hi,

Same probs here in NG17. Same as happened a week or two ago. Some sites ok but alot don't load. I must admit it does seem to be getting worse.

I will do my best never to ring the Indian call centre again as they have a standard answer - your pc,spyware, virus. It's never their fault!!

Re: Connection to BBC/Google etc?

If you read back over this thread before posting, you'll see that they've posted a message ackowledging there is a fault and they are working on it so I don't think they'll try and blame your pc on this occassion.

Modem has died, ntl120, no sync or rdy, constantly rebooting, only ds flashing, pwr and enet solid.

Engineer booked for Saturday.

Co-incidence or borked modem?
