XP Versions

Hi, i'm doing a clean install on my pc. It have a OEM XP Home sticker on the side but no disk. I asked a friend if he had one and he said yes (i'm assuming i'm allowed to use a different on edue to actaully have a licence sticker). He asked my which one i wanted.

Retail
OEM
VLK.

Now i realise i need OEM but what is the real difference between them? Especially VLK?

Cheers

Re: XP Versions

Well if it home oem you have a licence for then you will need home to activate with your key.
XP Pro does have a few better features but is costly.VLK will be a volume licenced copy which you will not be able to update using the windows update site but you will be able to use auto update.AFAIK there is no difference in VLK pro and any other pro
Please note your only legal option is to use xp home oem
