Re: Women are safer drivers eh?

Women are generally are safer drivers and the crashes they have tend to be a much lower speeds, and that's why we can get lower insurance premiums.

The fact that this woman is a bad driver doesn't change that. I haven't seen a man putting his make up on, but they certainly do other equally stupid things, and often at dangerous speeds. Too much testosterone perhaps?

Presumably going slower so as not to smudge the application of lipstick etc?

Now who would have a speed camera in a 40mph zone snap someone doing 32mph????

Ah, yes. They would.

Not at all. Start reducing our testoterone and not only would we drive too fast, we'd be doing it stupidly too - probably while putting on makeup!

Perhaps the speed camera was in a manned vehicle, and one of the officers noticed her doing it, so pointed the camera at her and pressed the record button? AFAIK, they do have some vans with conventional video cameras that are attached to devices to work out the speed of the approaching vehicle.

Anyway, I wonder if the North Wales Police spokesman referred to below is the Policeman from 'Allo 'Allo.

After the case, a spokeswoman for North Wales Police said: "A car is a dangerous limp of metal in the wrong hands.

Re: Women are safer drivers eh?

Thats nothing, i know a truck driver who was stopped by police on the M62 motorway,
The officer said "eating a pie whilst driving i can live, with but reading the newspaper at the same time i cant"
He got 3 points for due care and attention.

What about this little scrote then?
Quote:
A young motorist who killed a nine-year-old girl on a pelican crossing while high on drugs was jailed for four-and-a-half years yesterday.......The court was told that Wilkinson, who admitted death by dangerous driving, had regained his licence just three months earlier after serving a year-long ban as a result of another fatal accident.

He was 17 when he lost control on a bend in Welton, Lincs, and hit a tree, killing a passenger.
Should be banned for life.....

Is drugged driving not an offence in itself? Well, I know it's offensive, but legally I mean.

You would have thought (or hoped) that after the 1st accident he would have realised that with the wrong person behind the wheel a car is a deadly weapon.

Almost...

Its actually due to the fact that:

1) Women average fewer miles per year than men, so the less you drive, the less chance you'll make a mistake and crash.

2) Women drive smaller, cheaper cars that are cheaper to repair.

That's why they have lower insurance permiums. Skill doesn't really enter into it much.

Its actually due to the fact that:

1) Women average fewer miles per year than men, so the less you drive, the less chance you'll make a mistake and crash. I drive more than my husband.

2) Women drive smaller, cheaper cars that are cheaper to repair. A 330D Sport is hardly smaller or cheaper.

The type of car you drive would have to be considered for insurance purposes and as defined above my insurance would cost the same as a bloke insuring that car with similar no claims to me. But I still get cheaper insurance because the type of accidents women have are cheaper on the insurance payouts, men's accidents are more likely to cause write offs.

I have clocked up a lot of miles in almost 19 years of driving, I have had one insurance claim which was made in the first five years of that. My car was stationary at a junction at the time, the post office lorry (also stationary) in the right lane decided he wanted to go left. Cant get much slower than that.

One other accident I have had while driving it was wet and I could not quite stop in time, the cars tow ball in front of me slight fractured my front bumper. No claim was made from either party.

During all the miles I have done I have seen as many women as men do very stupid things that are a danger to themselves and others.

Insurance should be based on personal performance more than what you have between your legs and what chromosones you have, firms like diamond should be screwed into the EU courts for discrimination.
