i want to move my computer and cable modem to another room, without getting ntl to move the box on the wall, what type of cable would be suitable to extend the run from the box on the wall to the modem without a to much of a drop in signal, approx length of run would be about 30 meters?

Re: modem extension
If you connect to the modem via Ethernet, it is far easier to connect either using a router, or a long bit of ethernet cable (you can get 30 M cables) and leave the modem where it is.
thanks, but i think the wife would like the whole kit moved, the original ntl cable is currently used from when it was installed, what cable did they use?
