Downloads question

Friday and Saturday I did a fair bit of downloading both technically illegal and totally legal and was getting consistent rates on DC++ of 200/300 kps but then on Sunday morning on the same program it dipped to 1-10kps and has been like that ever since whereas non DC++ downloads such as stuff on Download.com has had normal speeds

Have/would/could NTL do anything to restrict download speeds on DC++ as its weird how it was fast now is slower than a 1 legged snail ?

The stuff I am doing on DC++ is technically legal as I own the originals on vinyl but want to get my vinyl collection onto my hard drive and have found a great DC++ hub that has 90% of my collection

What would NTL do to restrict speeds on DC++ ? block ports or something ?

Re: Downloads question

What you get off a person on DC++ is obviously what their Internet Connection will allow on the upload which is obviously effected by who else is downloading from their connection and what they are uploading/downloading if anything

Re: Downloads question

You may not have been the only one that the other person was connected to, so bandwidth would have been shared with whoever else he/she was connected to.
