Re: *ALL* ntl 10Mb Discussion (Part 3)
I had a quick flick through the thread but couldn't see what i wanted to know - Are/Will NTL be contacting older customers about changing over to the new cable modem soon. I have the old Terayon (had it from 512k days) and it only gives around 7-8mb even though im on the 10mb. Anyone know? Thanx

I believe that if you want to change to an ntl:250 which can support the full 10meg there is a £50 charge for doing so.

Re: *ALL* ntl 10Mb Discussion (Part 3)
it really is variable, few people I spoke to are getting full 10 meg all day and all night even at 9pm, very frustrating for people who pay the same but struggle to get 10% the speed.

Re: *ALL* ntl 10Mb Discussion (Part 3)
ntl have a lot of customers who are in rented accomodation with ntl pre fitted and these customers usually cannot switch telco companies. So I know in that circumstance it isnt the case of leaving. However I agree yeah if speeds are so low that there is no benefit over 24.99 then downgrade. But this shouldnt be happening, you not robbing my bandwidth as most of the issues are locallised issues, and the peering issues are ntl's fault not the customer's.

Re: *ALL* ntl 10Mb Discussion (Part 3)
i don`t want to rob anybodies band ,we are the customer ,if we are not happy **** them off ,don`t bitch ,winge etc ,it just makes good reading for myself, as mine is quick.
Edited (Paul): twinkle - do not use unnecessary swearing, or try and bypass the filter.
