internet disconnections - Worthing (Lancing)

hi there, ever since about wednesday my internet has been playing up.

Every hour or so i'll lose connectivity for about 10 seconds then the internet comes back up, and its not always every hour, its random, can happen every 5 minutes but its pretty much random when it happens.

I have tried restarting the STB, and the router and the PC's but its still happening.

I did read on NTL's status page the following:

"
On the morning of Thursday the 8th of December between midnight and 6 AM,
Network optimisation will result in a loss of service in the Leicester, Lancing, Rochdale, Baguley, Londonderry, Norwich, Poole, Rochdale, Coventry, Lichfield, Warwick, Stafford, Bishops Stortford, Londonderry, Coventry, Basford, Renfrew and surrounding areas."

but that was supposed to only be for last thursday though.

Is there anything you can suggest or anything? or will it involve a call to NTL tomorrow morning?

Thanks in advance.

jake

Unfortunately you won't get a lot of sense out of ntl while you use the router. Does the problem still occur if you disconnect the router from your network 9only use one PC)?

Re: internet disconnections - Worthing (Lancing)

Call Faults, get them to look into it. When you call, make sure the router is disconnected so they don't even get to worry about that as an issue.

Re: internet disconnections - Worthing (Lancing)

well after two calls to faults they are telling me its related to me now being on 10MB (which happenned yesterday) even tho i had this problem for a week before i had 10MB :/

they told me if the problem is still there on the 1st of Jan, i should ring back, but the problem is STILL there... and they expect me to wait until the 1st of jan with a connection that dies every hour? its disgracefull...
