Broadand rip off, advice needed please

I signed up through the website for 10mb broadband, I then phone them and ask why it's not working, I'm then informed that it doesn't start till January.

I've got my bill today that clearly says "10MB Broadband (75GB) £37.99 yet I don't have 10mb broadband! Can I dispute this?

Any advice?

What speed does the website say you're on now?

If in doubt, ring CS on 0800-052-2000 in morning, or PM one of the mods to get them to use NTL person they know to sort it out quickly for you.

Good luck

It wasn't 10mb, it was 3mb, I specifically upgraded via the website.

So you are paying for the top tier package which is the old 3Mb connection but now is listed as the "Up to 10Mb" connection but you want to dispute your bill because it's not 10Mb that you are getting? When did you sign up for your connection?

Signed up around a month ago, The bill doesn't say "up to 10MB" it clearly states

10mb Broadband (75GB)

On phone now, modem I have is a NTL 200 which I see other people have and have no problems to get the 10mb

Hi
The 10mbit is an up to service depending on a number of variables
Your location, Your pc and very important ethernet or usb..

how are you connecting the cable modem to the pc?

Erm, just how are you being ripped off? You are paying the same now as you were when your bill said 3MB Broadband. Your bill now says 10MB but you are being charged the same, at the moment your connection is the same (3MB). You will just have to wait for the upgrade.

I see no rip-off and I see nothing to dispute. Some people have got the speed upgrade, others not (me included). Just be patient and it will arrive.
