What has NTL got in place for BB cover
I have been giving this a lot of thought and once Bill C leaves on the 31st December just what cover is there for the Northwest customers. I know Bill covered a large area and was efficient at his job he spotted my fault when others couldn't.
But if Bill goes is there any other BB Engineer in the Northwest or will we become the poor relation where service is concerened with no cover.
Would be nice if the Admins on here could find some answers as I am now wondering if this is the start of the end for Cable in our area with unstable service the apeal of cable fades.

Northwest was unusual in having someone like Bill there, most franchaises don't and they aren't falling apart
Automated monitoring is I'm informed proceeding along nicely and is much more advanced than previously, along with this there are still network techs and service techs in the area.
Previously a rich relation to other franchaises is more accurate

Automated monitoring and if that fails we are all offline. The prsonal approach is the best but then again theyb hate to pay the staff wages just like to line the bosses pockets with bonuses.

With the greatest respect to Bill, I'm sure the whole system isn't going to collapse because Bills not around

AND if you had read the post you would notice I asked what was in place for once Bill left. Has the northwest andy BB engineers left?
We seem to be looking all around the question but avoiding the important question.
What has NTL got in place to cov er for no BB engineer. Autmated monitoring has been mentioined but that can't fix the problems. I have seen posts where some have said where will we go for our information so obviousley bill C is asked when some are stuck what to do etc.
So what has NTL got in place for the new year. Sales staff cannot fix the customers faults. The tech support are not always right so what happens if they get it wrong who is going to sort it? simple question

I'm fairly sure NTL has more than one engineer.

No other area has someone like Bill, he is unique so the idea of being a "poor relation" doesn't add up. N/W folk will need to do what the rest of the country does when they have a problem/fault and report it to Technical Support. I'm not sure where you're getting the ideas about sales staff, certainly I've not seen any recruiting there at the expense of engineers.

Just curious, are ntl getting rid of all the engineers in the northwest region or are they just getting rid of a few?

Well, the engineer that came last year was pretty good/helpful and I am sure that it wasn't you, so maybe it won't be so bad for us northwest users.

Have to admit your right. NTL did not depend on me and i am sure the lads that are left will dig in and get on with the job just the same as they do now, And of course get the job done in the same professional way they have always done.
