Need Advice

Hi everyone, sorry to ask for help on my first post. Basically what i'm trying to do is upgrade from my 1mb service to 3mb. Ive entered my details into the connection speed upgrade page, which varifys my details and try's to detect my modem settings ..but i get the error message 'Unable to identify the cable modem MAC (or Ethernet) address' any idea how to get around this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Don't worry about asking questions. We are here to help.

Have you tried calling Customer Services to do the upgrade? I know they are closed now, but they will be open tommorrow.

Re: Need Advice

Tried to but they were closed, i'll have to give them a call tomorrow. Just another quick question... will the upgrade be done NTL's end and be available once everything has gone through or will it be an engineer visit to do the upgrade? I have the ntl 200 modem which i believe is capable of the 10mb upgrade when it comes around too? Thanks alot guys

Re: Need Advice

The upgrade should go through without any need for the engineer to visit.

Re: Need Advice

If they gove you some BS about 10Mb not being available yet, laugh at them and say
'You lie! you lie! you lie!'

It may take a few calls to get thru to a operator that is willing to do the upgrade.
