What Router?

Going to Makro's store tonight looking for a router which is easy to setup so i can be online with both laptop and pc at the same time and which has no problem with the new 10 meg connection.

Anyone know any good routers that Makro's sells one type that has been advised to me is linksys how much are these priced at usually?

If i cant find one from the store tonight ill probably go to pcworld and check out that store so if anyone knows any good routers from pcworld let me know.

Thx
Darren

Re: What Router?

Depends on models stocked, Linksys about £57,

I've got Belkin router, Pre-N, cost £99, but cheaper versions available.
PC world has Netgear range, plus other brands, from about £48 upwards, it's website is off (it's 8.30am) otherwise I'd provide links to what PC world offer

Re: What Router?

I had a Belkin pre-n and had a lot of problems with it dropping connection and not being able to get a signal to my laptop even when it was in the room next door - I took it back to pcworld and chatted with a bloke in the router section who said he'd read a lot about that problem on a forum. I then replaced it with a linksys. see www.broadbandstuff.co.uk - you're talking in the region of £40 to £50 for a decent wireless router.

Re: What Router?

I suggest you goto pcworld and not makro because if you have problems you can take it back and speak to someone who has technical knowledge (sometimes).
