Il still take the £114 thanks and wait a couple of weeks
My point was though that anyone could probably get this even if you have the upgrade. Just call to disconnect (say switching to adsl or something) and you will probably be offered it.

And if they don't....you'll have no Cable and have to get ADSL anyways... lol

Yeah the ambit 100's can take 10 meg. I read they couldnt at first, but I dunno who thought that up.

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
just got off the phone with NTL..i asked about the upgrade to 10Mbit (i am on 2Mbit atm)..she said yes it's in my area(grimsby) and would i like to upgrade at a cost of £37.99 a month...so i said 'i thought it was going across all tiers and the cost would be on the monthly cap...' no sorry was the reply thats not avalible in my area....bummer ...looks like i will have to wait a bit longer,a extra few months or so will not hurt..as i'v only been waiting 4 years for a decent connection from NThell..

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
I'm having major problems with my NTL 120 modem. I get the full 10 meg fine, but I'm currently trying to download a patch for the test realm on World of Warcraft, it uses a bit torrent downloader and every few mins it reboots my modem. I'm not sure if it's because of the amount of connections or if it's a similar problem to a previous poster and it's because of it maxing upload.
What should I do, can someone here with NTL contacts help me get my modem switched to a 250?

I upgraded by the website, worked first time, watched modem reboot itself, full 10 meg after that, and no CS involved, have you tried this way to upgrade?

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
they might aswel start letting us poor sods on 2mb upgrade to 10mb then with the ol 30gig cap. I'd be happy with 8mb and a 30gig cap tbh but we should be offered something its not hard to send out these modem config files. Its a blatent marketing scheme to get people to upgrade to the 37.99 package on NTL's part, which is kinda fair, but doesnt do them much in gaining loyalty and respect from there customer base.
