Why is it the only time we hear from you is when the word proxy is uttered.

Re: Manchester proxy
Its odd that when manc has proxy problems they usually get turned off but everywhere else they just keep them on and on and on.
Is there highend ntl staff in manc or something?

Re: Manchester proxy
Funny thing is the proxies seem snappier now, I wonder if loads of manc peeps were manually using diff ones around the country and the load has dropped.

Go on then whats changing to get me to complain again
I am not complaining about the proxies just reiterating my and other users views that the NTL service in manc and proxies has never been successfully implemented.
So that the NTL customer has a fault free service.
If it was implemented and working we would not have a proxy thread just a seamless service.

But lets face it even when they are working If someone says proxy's, Out comes the same group of users with the tried and tested complaints about them.
And BTW i am now on a proxy here.

Bill to be honest must admit like proxies when working, still using bromley at moment.
So have been converted, however if we have proxies they need to be monitored, reliable and maintained like any piece of equipment.
Not fall over quite frequently and why does it always seem to affect the manc or baguley ones, why are they having problems with all the many thousands of pounds and time that NTL has allegedly spent on them.
Which includes bringing a specialist company in on the problem, if it was new technology could understand but clustering web servers is a well known technology.
And like any good engineer always interested in the root cause for failure
