my first network

Hi friend wants me to set up his first network. he has two pcs side by side in a room and an xbox which he wants to be able to play in that room and downstairs living room.

My idea was a router and x2 homeplugs (for xbox) what you think???

or
Wireless Router

Wireless router and Wireless gaming adaptor.
Wire the PC's and the XBox when they are in the same room, have the wireless for when it goes downstairs.

Or buy a long ethernet cable and drape it around the house when you need to go downstairs.

i was thinkin router wire two pcs in room and xbox too when in room but when downstairs use x2 homeplug? ?

Far more reliable and much better speeds to use Wireless.

I'd use wireless unless there is a good reason this will not work, it will also mean other wireless devices can join the network easily.

yeah i was going to get wireless router, just was going to connect xbox as homeplug x2, cause how much is a gaming adaptor for xbox???
