Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

Hi everyone,

First post on these forums, just thought Iââ‚ ¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢d contribute after Iââ‚ ¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ve just phoned up CS.

I've been a top tier broadband customer for about 3 years now, so I thought it might nice of them to repay my loyalty, but maybe not...

The lady on the phone told me that I wonââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t be able to receive 10mb until late 2006 to early 2007! Whatââ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s that about? bit of a mixup maybe!

It seems to be that the communications throughout NTL at the moment are awful; canââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t they just have one date, and stick to it?

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

If it wasn't intended, i could understand it if it was just an error on the website, letting people upgrade etc, but surely the fact that CS are upgrading people too, means it's not an accident? To be fair though, some 3mb users have been upgraded by CS too, so maybe it was meant for everyone, but wires got crossed, emails didn't get opened, memo's got binned, etc. It'll probably clear itself out in the next few days, while we all get overexcited and start building ntl voodoo dolls.

Ok. I personaly find it a little petty people are getting that annoyed about it but I can see where there coming from tbh.

i even did a speed test to be sure.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

This 'one arm not knowing what the other is doing' happened exactly the same the last time they upgraded the speeds, some CS reps were upgrading people when they called, some were not - looks like they learned nothing despite this being about the third speed increase in a few years - the same old mistakes are being made again.

It seems plainly daft to not give the upgrades to 3 meg customers when they cal asking for them and their own online upgrade page shows the upgrade as available if you call, and also when their own press releases have said that 3 meg customers will be first.

The poor customer service seems to know no end at NTL

Thanks Andy. What area are you in?

I know I can get 10Mb now but I have to upgrade to the higher tier. So now I wait in anticipation of when I can be automatically upgraded like you!

Honestly - I'd like to say I expect better from NTL - but having been with them since 2000 I know this idiocy is about par for the course.
They are upping the cap from 30GB to 75GB cant see many people complaining about having the cap more than doubled!!

I recommend you use wax for the doll itself, and an unravelled paper clip should be fine for the pin, making sure of course to go straight for the botty bum, thus doing to them what they have done to 3mb users.
