handymanAnd rightly put £37.99 is a lot to lay out but you have been getting a 3mb service with that and you can be in no doubt now that your on track to be on 10mb be the end of the week if not by the end of tommorow.

Just got off the phone with cs i spoke to nice little scottish woman who told me that initially all 3mb customers will be auto upgraded by end dec and everyone else in the new year and im in cambridgeshire.
We have already had ppl from P'borough and harlow saying that they have it.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
Ok my story, probably the same as some others by now.
Im in Oxford (just outside)
Was on 3MB, tried the upgrade tier link, told me i was on max speed already.
Rang tech support, they told me 10MB by end of december.
Rang customer services, asked to be downgraded to 2MB - this happened instantly.
Went back to tier upgrade page, 10MB was selectable. Chose 10MB, hit continue.. told me i could NOT change to 10MB because i had already been changed once in the 30day billing period.
Rang back to CS, asked them to override it - bingo.. 10MB.
Interestingly the CS lady read me the email she had received, that says no-one on 2MB will be upgraded till April!!!! so god knows what's going on.
All i know is im on 10MB, modem page show's correct numbers and im downloading service pack 2 for xp at 600K per second. Would expect faster but seeing as its mid day, and the systems are busy ill except it for now.
Fen.

Yes and no.
I did work for ntl for 2 years whilst at the same time I was a member of this site and its former .com site.
So having sat through all of the other roll outs and watched the reaction on the site it would be a miracle if they decided to change the formula for them.
The csr's contra to belief do not know the ins and outs of everything in ntl. They have to be knowledgable about the products that are on hand granted but they will get a breif as and when. Upto that point then if you do pressure them they will say either that its coming soon and quote a random time in the future.
I also had greater access than the csrs's and could see the all the change management stuff but I had to get clearance from the fmr manager to get that info as that particular sheet spells out all of the trials and software roll-out for the next 6 months or so.

do you know what I bought a packet of golden grahams the other day and blow me they are buy one get one free now. I feel cheated that the store did not let me know that this was going to happen.
There are always going to be offers to upgrade/buy more.
I think they call them incentives.

LOL. Not trying to be funny, but just a couple of hours ago you were moaning about people not waiting for the upgrade & now you are phoning up CS yourself!

I'm not complaining though, i'm happy with 3mb to be honest. I'm more interested in the upcoming unlimited services.
