Kevin, I would maybe remove the router from the equation and see what happens. Not that I know much about routers, other than the fact that they can be the "route" of many problems. Bwahahaha!

Sorry for the crap pun, just trying to lighten the mood a little.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

Thats a point, when I was on 10meg, my IP didnt change. I know that coz I was doing all this from work, and I could still connect woth my ip. I would have thought i changed,

Also, am I not right in saying that NTL have advertised everywhere 'UP TO 10Mb' meaning you might well get 5,6,7 Mb whatever,=. But not a gurananteed 10.

Yeah some of the orig posters words were bit strong

I would like to answer 1 question he made, people have been waiting a while and people also upgraded to 3mb (and paid extra money) to benefit from the upgrades that NTL did say would happen to 3mb customers first.

Also regarding FREE Etc, people pay a premium for 3meg, £37.99 a month is alot compared to Bulldog etc (yes I know they have limited coverage), so quite rightly people are upset..

Anyway thats my point of view, lets get back on track eh

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)

I phoned CS, asked them to downgrade my connection too 2mb, went on NTL-world.com and tried to upgrade... saw the 10mb option and got all excited... clicked continue and get an error saying to phone CS..on 0800-052-2000

So I phoned CS again and said that I was trying to upgrade via the web to 10mb, (The only option available)

Straight away, CS told me that 10mb was not available till December

Why is the option to upgrade on the website then?, when its not available till december ? ...

The only upgrade available is 10mb, the 3mb option is no longer available via the web upgrade..

Sorry Russ , It just riles me that theres not even a official announcement yet that its live and people are complaining they don't have it and wanting to leave ntl because of that.

I can't get ntl any more, I've 2 really long bits of ntl coax and I've joined then and cast them in the general direction of teesside but nothing yet

I really really want to get ntl back and have the 10mb but unfortunatly I cannot boooo

CS told me to wait til december aswell. I dont mind that. I've been waiting for good speeds like this since the days of 56k DialUp so another month wont hurt me any.

3Mb is glorious for now.

you people that ring cs to get upgraded and actually get the 10meg connection should get the name of the preson that upgraded you so that others can try to get that same person.

But you did speculatively upgrade to 3mb, had you waited till the starting gun went off you would have upgraded and the option would have been there. (assuming you where in a area that had been enabled)

And rightly put £37.99 is a lot to lay out but you have been getting a 3mb service with that and you can be in no doubt now that your on track to be on 10mb be the end of the week if not by the end of tommorow.

Yeah I was told that also, ask to upgrade to 3MBit matey, as far as i could tell there is no 3mbit anymore it automatically put you up to 10mbit. enjoy.
