Phoine NTL and ask them to-resend the modem config file to the modem.... say you have problems etc,,
then you will be on 10mb

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
So can anyone confirm that "bund03" will put me on 10mbit? Mine says that instead of "upto 10mbit"

|
Maybe because tier 3 customers don't get a option to move up a tier because there is no tier 4. Tier 1 and 2 customers screens now show that tier 3 has changed and tier 3 customers tiers are gradually being migrated over now to the new 10mbs.
There is no big swicth that does tham all in one go. Each headend needs to send out the new config. I would imagine it would be madness to to them all at the same time just think if something went wrong... Would make sense to do them in turn and get reports afterwards that its gone out fine before moving on to the next one.

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
Ok this is how I got onto 10meg from 3 meg:-
I Phoned up and downgraded to 2 meg when checking the website I was on 2 meg, then checked the website and it showed I could upgrade from 2 to 10 I phoned again and it seems the 30 day isn`t applying as i`m now on 10 megs..
Also seems the 10meg is now on there system so the lady said, I`m in Gt Yarmouth and we run from Peterborough.

I think the 30 days only applies to downgrading, they'll be happy to take your money if you want a higher tier

Re: *All* ntl 10meg Discussion (part 2)
Well I'm in the Guildford area and I can't upgrade, just get the old "We are sorry that your current package or connection speed is not appropriate for an online speed upgrade" message.
Does the online upgrade check your modem type also? I ask because I have a 3com CMX which as far as I am aware will be lucky to manage about 7mbps. When the upgrade is available, will the online script refuse me due to the modem type?
Andy.

this happened last time I cannot remember what caused it either.
Are you connecting via your modem or at work to that page?
Are you using a router?
