second box

hi can anyone help i got a second digi box from a boot fair and it works but when i put my card in its keeps telling me it invalid why ??

Each NTL card has to be authenticated (married) to the designated installed box by NTL, otherwise, no good.

Haha how amusing, you realise you've just dealt in stolen good technically? The boxes are NTL's property and should be returned to NTL when the user's account has been terminated, they cannot be used by anybody else.

what i want to do is have telewest upstairs in the bedroom but dont fancy paying £15 a month for a box i'm going to use maybe two or three times a month how would i go about this??

Can't you use the RF lead from the main (legal) box, via splitter system and feed the upstairs tv?

but then i need to go down stairs to change the channel and i dont fancy runing up and downstairs when the women wants to watch something else is there anything you can get to save my legs
