RGB for DVD player through NTL STB

I have a Panasonic TV with two Scart sockets, only one of which is RGB enabled.
I want RGB connections for both NTL and my DVD player.
When I had Sky I could have the Sky STB connected to my TV via the RGB Scart socket on my TV and the DVD player connected to the video Scart socket on my STB. This allowed me to get an RGB picture from both Sky and my DVD Player.
On switching to NTL this arrangement does not give me an RGB picture for my DVD Player. Merely a composite picture.
Why does this daisy-chaining not work with NTL when it did with SkY?
Is it the STB box I have - Pace - would it work with a Samsung?

Hi welcome to the site.

Could you try a scart adapter like this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...er/5341922.htm

Yeah, thanks. I tried a multi-scart lead, but it dulled the picture and gave it a vaguely greenish tint.
It didn't have switch buttons on it though. That Argos one any good?

Re: RGB for DVD player through NTL STB

I have the Samsung box, and connect the STB scart out, which is RGB, to tv scart in RGB.
The socket marked video on the Samsung, I can connect DVD and games consoles through this, and it acts as an RGB passthrough, sons XBox and PS2 both work OK (he's been playing both tonight) after that, watched DVD, same quality pictures, in RGB mode.
Hope this helps
