Necessary Permissions?

How do i get the 'necessary permissions' to access/edit my website?

Request denied.
Verify that you have the necessary permissions on the server to perform the requested operation.

Have you uploaded it to the ntl servers? If so you should have full permissions automatically. If it's not letting you do anything to the site then you may need to contact CS.
How are you accessing the FTP site and are you using the correct user name and password?
(A link to the site in question may be useful )

I'm using CuteFTP.
It won't let me delete my Cache folder.

cache folder? Do you have link to the site or are you just using your ftp area for storage?

Is it a folder that you have uploaded to the space? The odds are that you will need to phone CS if you cannot gain access to the file. I take it you can access your ftp space without problems but is it just that one file you have problems with?
(If you have a link to the webspace you are having problems with someone may be able to look at it and figure out why you are having problems.)

Yes that's the problem. Its just 1 of the folders on my webspace that i can't delete.

Did you upload the file originally though? Have you tried right clicking the file in question and looking at it's properties?

When i tried changing the Permissions it said 'CHMOD not allowed'.

This may be resolved quicker if you answer as fully as possible all questions asked

Did you upload the file in question,
Is this NTL webspace or another web hosting site,
If so what web host is it?
Are you trying to delete a php forum file which may not allow you access if the site it is linked to is still being accessed?
