Dead Pixel Cure
I have one pixel on my TFT monitor that is constantly red. Is there any software for it? Is the software safe?

Re: Dead Pixel Cure
I had this problem when my mon was new and I cured it by switching of the power, leaving it for 5 minutes and powering it back up again....the pesky thing disapeared for good ....might be worth a try?

Re: Dead Pixel Cure
They say u can cure it by "rubbing" it, but this is not recommended and could damage it further.

Red - Ouch mate...
My PSP has two dead pixels.. being as they are white, i don't really notice it..
Many warranties for monitors have a dead-pixel part, try checking that to see if you can get a refund/switch them...

They normally require about 8 or so for the warrenty to kick in. ( although that may have changed!)
I would try rubbing it gently!!

No they don't, one dead pixel is acceptable under most standards for TFTs. Think about the screens themselves, one native 1024x768 has 786432 pixels. Seeing as colour is a combination of red, green and blue then we need 2359296 transistors per monitor. Now think of the size of the pixels and the size each transistor needs to be.
If ONE of these is faulty then you will get a dead pixel. Difficult eh?
