Erm...

Some of you may or may not know, but i bought a buffalo wirless internet kit and couldn't get it to work for the life of me, so i went down to PC World and they reccomended to me a belkin one, so i bought that and got it working straight away.

Anyway, all i really wanted to know is does the main pc i have the boardband connection on need to be swtiched on at all times for the wirless internet to work upstairs? (obviously the modem and router need to switched on at all times)

Thanks.

When you're using a router, no. Both machines can be on/off independently.

Why are you asking? Does your connection not work without both machines on?

Not attched printer yet, so thats alright.

Reason i am asking is because the pc downstairs was turned off and the wirless connection disconnected.
