Exclamation packetloss issues - ntl routing problem atm?

Anyone else experiencing packetloss or know any problems with the ntl network in the Grimsby area? while playing online games i'm getting consistent packetloss ... the connection has been like this for a few days, which is unusual as the service has usually been brilliant for me.

UPDATE: This trend of packetloss seems to be only evident on UK and NL gaming servers, i've tested some german ones and i have 0% Packetloss.. can i assume theres a big bork up in routing? tracerts dont really show a problem, although the packetloss is clearly evident in game, pings are ok also. i've posted a couple of .jpgs (attached) showing the packetloss on some uk and nl servers. they mostly would indicate that it is incoming pl, this pl isn't visible on some german servers i've tested.

Any help appreciated.

Regards.

Was seeing 1-5 loss on the hl2 net meter to this server, spiking to 10 sometimes earlier, switched to another server and was back to 0. Seems ok now though ^^

Re: packetloss issues - ntl routing problem atm?

Omar - I think I was getting ploss earlier this afternoon on a few hl2 servers, 10-30 loss.

This lag ties in exactly with all the 1mb users being upgraded to 1mb. I can't see the lag at ubr level but I'll do some traceroutes tonight but it looks like the lag is at the nottingham core level.

I think we are screwed, for now at least.

Re: packetloss issues - ntl routing problem atm?

hehe i cant imagine what the service will be like once we're upgraded to 10mbit. As i said earlier traceroutes dont really show any indication of high ping or packetloss ... it seems like its more of a routing problem but i'm clueless. Some servers show now lag or ploss or anything.

Re: packetloss issues - ntl routing problem atm?

I've been playing q2 for a few years now (I know, old game but I still love it) and usually get 0% PL but the past couple of month I've had 50% - 95% on nearly all the servers that show on my All Seeing Eye stats. must be something NTL is doing you think?

See my Packet Loss in the pink highlight area. .::pic::.

there was an issue with savvis earlier I dont know if that was the cause, but it was odd when msn plus about 9 ssh sessions died all together
