We looked this morning through the channels we got and thought Baby TV would be great for us (we have a 3mth old son) so was a bit gutted to see it appeared to be a subscription only kinda thing. Came on here to see if anyone else had same problems and it appears so.
I look forward to your update later on Mick.

Re: [Merged] New channels?
A quick look in the Bromley billing system shows Baby TV as £2.94 per month... That sounds a bit odd, though, so don't quote me on that! It doesn't seem to have been added to the billing system used for most Langley areas yet, and I don't have access to the Celtic regions' billing system - so that's as close as I can get!

Re: [Merged] New channels?
I've spoken to ntl about it today and it is to be unencrypted tomorrow for a trial period until December. I am expecting some more details shortly.

Re: [Merged] New channels?
I think that it's going to be £3.50 per month. It is indeed going to have quite a long freeview for the launch, until sometime in December I think.
Hopefully Mick should get the full and correct details tomorrow.
Cheers
Sam

Re: [Merged] New channels?
We've had the new channels as well, all day, but it seems that UKTV Style Gardens on 171 fell off air around 40 minutes ago during The Flying Gardener. It's EPG is showing programming up till 01.00, but when I last looked before writing this it was still showing a black screen after rebooting. All the others are still ok though - wierd!

Re: [Merged] New channels?
Does any one else find it a bit disturbing that a channel for kids 3 years and under is on 24 hours a day?

Re: [Merged] New channels?
Not really...I don't see how that could be seen as disturbing. Quite helpful actually - it allows parents to tape shows over-night while they or their kids aren't busy watching other things.

Re: [Merged] New channels?
Hmm, just a little moan. Euronews - available in English, French, German, Spanish, Portugese, Italian and Russian. And only in English on NTL.
Speaks volumes.

Re: [Merged] New channels?
You want it in Russian?
There's actually a red-button application in development to allow the audio to be selected.

Hmmm, you seem to have contracted a case of "bash NTL no matter what", which seems to be increasingly prevalent on these forums.
The channel has only been available for a couple of days. You don't think that maybe you're expecting a bit much?
