Dual tuner Freeview

Please move/merge if in wrong place.....

If I get a dual tuner/hd freeview box can I record from 2 different signals at the same time,or only the aerial [freeview] signal ???...

Example...With my Tivo I can record from the aerial or ntl...obviously only one of them at a time, due to the single tuner...

Anyone have any experience of this please..?...

Re: Dual tuner Freeview

I haven't got one myself but from what i read HD Freeview with dual tuners can record two channels at the same time! Try this site for some info http://www.dttboxes.co.uk/pvrs/

Re: Dual tuner Freeview

Ah i see what your saying now. It would depend on if say the NTL box could be tuned in manually and if it would let you set up manual recordings. You maybe better off with a DVD Recorder!

InsideInfo is an unknown quantity at this point
Re: Dual tuner Freeview

tabatha, AFAIK there are no PVR's that can record from an external source, only the internal tuners. If you want to record from NTL you will need a DVD recorder.
