Re: Silent Mouse
What I means is when looking for a quite mouse go in to a PC supplier and try the mice on display.
I only picked PC world beacause they are the only shop in my town that has a selection of mice/keyboards on display. The new Comet store & Currys (Part of Dixons which also owns PC World) don't
and buy good online is often a lot cheaper

Then you are most fortunate. I can, and although it doesn't irritate me, it does some people. So Saxo's trying to find a mouse that doesn't 'click' while clicking.

Thank you!
Did you realise you can order stuff from PC World online at vastly reduced prices compared to instore and go and collect and pay for it in the store? So it might be worth checking out a few mice at your nearest store, but as far as I'm aware they all have a 'click'.

This would not be for me would be more for her, she does alot of click intensive work with fireworks 2004, and I am trying to watch something and drives me nuts.
Won't a touchpad be all tappy? plus expensive? she would need to be able to use it like a normal mouse for detailed image work, while loosing the sound of the mouse.

Re: Silent Mouse
If you can't bear the mouse clicks how do you feel about the tap tap of a keyboard? This is what drives my husband crazy.
And then there is the printer, and the pc hum and the scanner..
Damn! my whole desktop is an environmental health hazard...I'd better hope no one reports me to the local environmental health dept.

Re: Silent Mouse
The gentle hum of a computer I do not mind, keyboards can be annoying but not as much as the mouse.

Well as my mouse is very quiet I can only think your partner has a particularly noisy mouse or she is trying to annoy you.
Oh and I have to use my PC either with headphones or turn the sound down as my husband can't stand the varios pings and fanfares that various applications use to alert me.
He is such a misery..good job I love him.

I must admit itis starting to annoy me, espeacially at this time of the morning when I'm gettinghomeand surfing / playing games, sometimesthere are up to 6 others in the house and it fair rattles about if I'm gameing.
The physical click that I think they're talking about is that of the micro switch under left / right buttons, if you don't have that then what mouse have you got ???
