Re: Command and Conquer style of game.
How about generals?
Or Empire Earth 1 or 2
Age of Empires 3 (when it comes out).
The RTS market is a bit dry at the moment but its looking promising for next year, especially with games like Total Annihilation Supreme Commander coming out.

Re: Command and Conquer style of game.
Isn't Dune a bit like that? (Might be a bit old now though).

Re: Command and Conquer style of game.
Command & Conquer-style games? Well here are a few suggestions:
Command & Conquer
Command & Conquer - The Covert Operations (Expansion pack for Command & Conquer)
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun
Command & Conquer Tiberian Sun †“ Firestorm (Expansion pack for Tiberian Sun)
Command & Conquer Red Alert
Command & Conquer Red Alert - Counterstrike (Expansion pack for Red Alert)
Command & Conquer Red Alert - The Aftermath (Expansion pack for Red Alert)
(These ones are still good to play.)
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2
Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 †“ Yuriâ₠¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Revenge (Expansion pack for Red Alert 2)
(These are a bit cartoony but good fun)
Command & Conquer Renegade (more a FPS really)
Command & Conquer Generals
Command & Conquer Generals: Zero Hour
(Excellent games - still play them regularly)
Dune 2000 (Made by Westwood †“ similar to Command & Conquer)
Emperor †“ Battle For Dune
Total Annihilation (Robots vs robots)
Z: Steel Soldiers (Quite high tech)
S.W.I.N.E. (Pigs vs rabbits - I kid you not)
Earth 2150
WW3: Black Gold
Ground Control
Ground Control II
(Not played either of these all that much but they look good)
Giants: Citizens Of Kabuto (stretching it a bit, but does have a kind of RTS side to it)
"The Settlers" series of games
Real War
Real War: Rogue States (expansion pack for Real War)
(USA vs the Commies and moderately authentic)
Starcraft
(I think, but not too sure about this one - not played it yet. Hugely popular in Korea.)
Maybe the "Age Of Empires" series too
Patrician 1 & 2
Anno 1503
Apart from that, I can't think of any!

All those, and you missed out the best of the lot: Warcraft III and its expansion pack, The Frozen Throne. I'm a big fan of RTS games -- I have the entire C&C series -- and WC3 is the best I've played. Sure, it's got Orcs and Elves instead of tanks and planes, but the gameplay is right out of the top drawer. Best of all, it's dirt cheap -- get it now!

Ah yes, forgot that one.
I've tried it, but didn't like it all that much. It's a bit too removed from reality for my liking, even though I like swords and sorcery type stuff.
Added to which, I haven't added it to my list of games I own yet!

I thought the op seemed to be asking for new RTS games, not classics. I only even mentioned generals as it is at least reasonably modern.
Good list though if were talking classics here you missed a few....
Dune 2 (the original concept for C&C and all that followed)
KKND I & II
Conquest Earth
Starwars Force commander
Starwars (cant remember the name for this, it was made in the Age of empires II engine).
Hostile waters - Antaeus Rising
Warhammer 40K Dawn of war
Impossible creatures
Dungeon keeper
Evil genius
There are also the following SBRTS (space based real time strategy)
Farspace
Startrek armada I & II
Conquest Frontier wars
Homeworld I, II and Cataclysm
EDIT: Also nice to see someone who actually knows what renegade is, Renegade seems have an almost cult community so it seems the only people who know of its existence are those who play on a regular basis most of the time .

I really didnt like WC3, a shame really since 1 & 2 are some of my faves.
I hated the focus on heroes, if it was still based more on the standard rts formula of resource management and construction I may have enjoyed it.
But even for those that like WC3, if you claim to be a real RTS fan you are speaking pure blasphemy if you think it can even hold a candle to the original C&C Or Total Annihilation or even its older cousin starcraft for that matter.

C&C renegade was actually made in a custom engine coded by westwood called the havoc engine. A modified version of this same game engine is actually the core of generals.
Single player in Renegade was always poor I thought, the multiplayer mode is where all the fun is I still play it every couple of months and normally end up playing it for about a month at a time when I do.
