BF2 questions

With my current spec ( see sig ) do you all think it is worth it if I go and buy a copy of Bf2 and get into online playing or would I be compromised in performance.

I like to run at 1280 by 1024 but dont mind toning the GFX down a bit.

Re: BF2 questions

Well I have ran BF:2 on two machines to give you a Idea really...

Athlon 2600 TB with Radeon 9600XT 256 Card + 1GIG ram
Athlon 64 3700 S939, X600 + 1 gig Ram

I can set the game to run no problems at all with everty set to MED @ 1024x768, no idea FPS but I test it by ways of "if it looks ok on screen, it must be fine".

Graphically the game set at Med or High is much the same look on screen anyhow, try the Online demo, if that runs fine, then your safe that buying it will not be a waste of money. Graphically I think its Amazing myself, that Water looks so Inviting, flying Helecopters and so forth - all very Cool..

You should be fine at 1024x768 medium quality, no AA, 8x AF.

Re: BF2 questions

I picked up the demo last week when i got my new vid card(6800gt) and i was crud, slow frame rates, pauses the works.
Borrowed the full version from next door and it runs soo sweetly with full everything its amazing but i found myself waiting for textures to load for about 4 minutes so i turned em down.
currently running at 1024x768 with everything on(cept full textures) an lovin it
