Championship Manager 4
This game is really annoying - have you noticed that if your team is at the top of the league by more than say, 6 points, your best players suddenly get injuries which keep them out for 2 or 3 months and as well as that, you begin to lose stupid games to teams in the relegation zone?

Champ Man pwns... but yes, the number of injuries in 4 is esp bad. IIRC, there's a patch for it...

Re: Championship Manager 4
Why get Championship Manager 4! The real one is football manager, Sigames kept the code and the database. The publishers only kept the name

Re: Championship Manager 4
Yup the publishers kept Championship Manager name and made a seriously second rate game out of it, which is IMHO pure rubbish, from the first moment I started playing it I took a dislike to it.
Football Manager is certainly where the better gaming is now.
Both are nothing really more than a database and some algorithms to process the database, which makes you wonder how CM made such an utter mess up of it.

Re: Championship Manager 4
I've decided to get CM 03/04 now (was only £3.99 in GameStation secondhand!).
It's a MUCH better game, it's faster and more logical. I read somewhere you can publically praise certain players for their performances in matches but can't find the option to do this - does anyone know where it's hidden?

Re: Championship Manager 4
I think it comes up in the News bit mate, I think it's pretty random though.

Re: Championship Manager 4
Not sure about that, I've been told there's a feature I can praise or criticise players after each performance.

Re: Championship Manager 4
I play Fm 05 in one of the official clans, a few of the lads are involved with the game and mod the official Forum.
CM04 was to put it mildly a complete dog of a game, well it was online and thatââ‚ ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s were the game is at its best. Playing with 10+ human manager that are regarded to be some of the best there is were itâ₠¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s at for me.
For a taste at that price its fine but if you really want a great game get fm06 when it hits the shelf in November then join a Clan game that plays once a week or something, once your hooked its all over.
