Well if, as and when they send someone out there at least they will have "Adams Ale on the rocks" to toast the occasion!

Re: Ice lake found on the Red Planet
So if they took a pint of full-fat milk up there then they'd "Mars", "ice", "cream"....
I'm sorry. I cannot compete with the Nuggmeister.

Doubt you'd keep hold of it for very long before it floated away, the space gloves are so thick, the gravity's no where near that of Earth, the carton would be slippery.....before you knew it.....< wait for it>.....it would be floating pastuerised
In fact, instead of a Lunar Rover you would have a milk float

Re: Ice lake found on the Red Planet
I didn't know the ice had been lost. It was there last time I took a picture of mars http://www.darknight.co.uk/mars.htm
If anybody is interested in more information and a better picture or two than my site has got have a look here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mars_(planet)

Re: Ice lake found on the Red Planet
Looks to me like a comet that hit mars, so if there is any life there, it isn't Martian, it is, erm, Cometian.
Why are we always looking for water, and only water? Just because we are evolved to use water, doesn't mean to say some life forms on Venus haven't evolved to not use water. Seems a bit short sighted to me.
The quality of the picture though is just brilliant.
