New PC

I've just ordered myself a nice new shiney PC from Dell, do i need to do anything special to connect my Broadband to it?

I'm currently running 1MB broadband through a SACM.

Good choice

If the broadband is already registered all you should have to do is plug the ethernet lead from the modem into the PC and Windows should do the rest

if you are connecting though ethernet then all you need to to is

turn off the modem
connect up to the PC and switch it on
turn on the modem

this will register your new PC's MAC address with the modem to allow you to access the interweb
