Sending Bulk Email

My question is simple -: Does anyone know what NTLââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s parameters are for sending out bulk email? ie. What are the maximum number that can be sent out within a specific period of time? I really would appreciate it if someone could find out.
So far NTL support have been vague on thsi issue. I can understand ISPââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢s keeping this information to themselves to avoid spamming however I am not a spammer.

I am using some email software called G-Lock Easymail Pro (www.glocksoft.com) to send the newsletter to about 400 people. . Everyone on the mailing list has expressed a wish to be on it. I donââ‚Âà ‚¬ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢t get paid for writing the newsletter or sending it out - it is my hobby.

Using this software I can specify how many I wish to send out with a specified period of time. These are the parameters I am looking for.

Thanks in advance. David.

PS. If you do not wish to publish this information on the board it can always be sent to me direct. Mod edit- Chris W: <email address removed> To contact David via email, please click his name on the left and chose send email.

There are many rumours floating about what the rules are....

some say 50/ hour
some say 50/ minute
some say 50 bounced mails per minute
some say 50 bounced mails per hour...

how many mails are you thinking about sending?

should have read your original post properly

how often do you send the newsletter out?

I'm not familiar with the software you use- does it rely on ntl's smtp server for the sending of mail?

Re: Sending Bulk Email

I send it out once a week. Yes, it uses NTL's smtp server.

Re: Sending Bulk Email

Do you not have a forum? you could get a free one, and invite all your recipients to join, then you would have the database of members and email addys, then you could mass email them via the provider,

www.suddenlaunch.com springs to mind.

Re: Sending Bulk Email

Having a forum is a creative solution. At the moment though I'd like to stick with sending out the emails using this new software. It has certain advantages such as making the HTML email look professional and I can store additonal information in order to just send an email to someone living in a particular area of the country.
