Did you contact them to get it sorted? Believe me Sky is no better for crappy signals sometimes We quite often suffer signal drops/ stutters etc. If you contact NTL you will stand little chance of getting the issue resolved, sometimes it's not even NTL's fault but the signal provider who is causing the problem.

Re: ITV Channels.
No, I'll do it as soon as I get in from work at 4pm, but it sounds to me looking at Dilligaf1701, that it's a Network fault not just NTL.

Like I said it's not always NTLs fault lol. Calling them early in the morning is better than late in the afternoon as you are more likely to get through quickly

Re: ITV Channels and CH4 E4 and E4+1
Two weeks down the road and it's still freezing and it's not just my box doing it. What's going on NTL?

Re: ITV Channels.
So I assume you've contacted NTL since your previous post?
What did they say?
Did an engineer attend your home to diagnose/resolve?

Re: ITV Channels.
The problem revolves around the Big Brother ETV (red button functionality). The problem is that this extra bandwidth is causing the transport stream to max out and whilst the mux is trying to figure out what info to drop (should be EIT (now & next info) it is momentarily locking up resulting in an apparent judder to the picture.
In simple terms we dont have the network capacity on this equipment to cope with the throughput of data required

ouch!
So this extra bandwidth that would be used by the BB interactive nonsense... would people only be affected by people connected to the same green cab using this interactive service? Or is it a global issue not induced by people using the interactive service?
Cue the directors saying "only 2hrs of BB interactive allowed per day" (sorry... couldn't resist )

Re: ITV Channels.
So you're saying until that crap Big Brother finishes, we've got to put up with freezing pictures. That's not on. I'm seriously thinking of getting rid of NTL.

Re: ITV Channels.
There was an attempt yesterday to change the Big Brother ETV application, this reduced the number of errors apparent on the muxes, but the judder is still evident on screen. it is still being worked on

Re: ITV Channels.
Seems to be better yesterday evening, so I'll see over the next few days whether to contact ntl.
