Do you really need all the extra buttons on the google toolbar? It's just that the built-in search is very good. You can get all sort of search engines and it's small, so you can fit it on any toolbar that's got space.

Ramrod,
try to right click your google toolbar, to see if this gives you an option to move where it sits on your browser.
in Failing that, click view > toolbars > customised there you should see small box with everything on your browser screen and if you left click and hold your google toolbar, you may be able to move it around your browser.
it all depends if there is enough space or not.
you could also try to find out in the user.css if you can customize the google toolbar as well, and just change values that may deal with the google toolbar, but I don't have the google toolbar, as I prefer the quicksearch box that is standard with firefox.

Avant has something exactly like that already built into the program. I prefer the highlight on Avant's one to Googles one though, as if it doesn't find anything on the page, it will report it to you.

No, the search bar in Avant is to the right of the address bar, type in what you want to highlight, then click on highlight and it will search through the webpage. If nothing is found to highlight, it will popup saying nothing was found to highlight.
