Problems with OWA

Hi All,

I know perhaps better posted on other forums but there are some pretty clever people on here who might be able to give me a pointer.

Ever since I upgraded to a new server, OWA hwont work on Internet Explorer I am running the latest version on XP, the firewal is controlled by the firewall etc and turning it off seems to make no difference. The basic client loads fine and works fine in firefox but just a little limited. has anyone seen this before (see atached image

Thanks
Andy

Re: Problems with OWA

Did you reinstall everything when you moved to the new server? There are reports of issues between sp2 and OWA on various sites including MS Support.

Re: Problems with OWA

What version of Exchange & what server OS?

I have a standard XP SP2/IE config which is able to use OWA on our Exc2003 servers fine.

Is there a problem with the IE security settings - ie is the Exch server in your Trusted zone?

Re: Problems with OWA

Its server 2003 with exchange 2003 running in small business form. It was a fresh install when the new server came over. I have added the site to my tusted sites etc.. till no joy.. I have read problems with sp2 but it does not work on w2k sp4 either so I think tis server side more than client side..

Re: Problems with OWA

Any difference running IE on the server itself? Has OWA ever worked properly on this server?

Going to head home now, but will pop back later.

hmm right i hope this makes sense.

If I access the server, internally. using the computername/exchange from the server it works fine.. if i use the no-ip redirect it goes belly up... and does exactly the same.. this is from the server btw

but from a client machine trying either way makes it go belly up as per attachment in previous post..

Re: Problems with OWA

Are you accessing via a LAN?
If so check you have the server listed in the proxy exclusion list.
Tools > Inet Options > Connections > LAN Settings > Exceptions box (IIRC)

Re: Problems with OWA

Could be to do with the IIS settings on the server. Only seen IIS 6 briefly but iirc it's locked down by default. You may have to enable some of the IIS feature to work properly. Iirc, the IISLockdown tool should do it for you (but that may only be IIS5)
